the wrathborne
We are the Wrathborne. Once our pursuits was varied--assassination, extraction--direct and thorough acts of violence. Our goals--strategic, pointed and precise. Our ends, pious, verging on sacred. Those days are over. Or, at best, on hold. Now we have but one aim.... the slaughter of zealots.
-Goroth
A mercenary organization led by Zova Irae, the Wrathborne were born in the ashes of Atriox's emprisonment. Their philosphy revolves around barbaric pragmatism, with their missions solely focusing on accruing resources for their ultimate end-goal; to destroy all traces of the Separatist Legion and replace the vacuum left behind. They accomplish this through raiding and conquest while staying low on enemy radars, never claiming territory; instead, attacking targets when there is only something to gain from doing so. The Wrathborne, just like Zova Irae, are highly irreligious and lack taboos regarding the Emanation.
STORY AND HISTORYKhals are the main addition to the Wrathborne hegemony. The Khals have a very deep and profound hatred for the Seperatist Legion, as they were among the first to be indoctrinated into their ranks. As a species, the Khals fought several battles against the Seperatists before eventually surrendering and allowing themselves to be enslaved. When Zova Irae defected from the Legion, many a Khal followed in her stead, seeking to fulfill their warlike cult of personality. As a result of this, the main bulk of the Wrathborne's forces are number-dominated by the Khal.
Now the Wrathborne operate out of the incendiary planet of Mala Ged, homeworld to the daughters of Atriox. It has since been reclaimed by Zova Irae as a symbolic gesture of her honoring her past, something she believes her sisters have long abandoned. In her pursuit of annihilating the Seperatist Legion, Zova Irae has enslaved the local Malamite population on Mala Ged, tasking them with the purpose of terraforming the planet to host her Wrathborne legion. |
