weapons and tools
This page is for weapons and tools used almost exclusively by the Annunaki. Most of these items utilize Hardlight. Hardlight was a breakthrough in self-assembling, self-replicating nanotechnology created by Vauban Antilles to accelerate Annunaki's colonization effort. The technology had the ability to create nearly anything that anyone could ever need. It would be used to create new structures and colonies on new worlds faster than regular construction methods.

Arc Star Sharp pinwheels projectiles that are reminiscent of the Shinobi-era shuriken. They display unusual homing behaviors when directed at living targets and explode after a delayed period of time, resulting in flames fanning out and creating a pyroclastic surge strong enough for fourth-degree burns (completely burns all flesh away, leaving only bone tissue). |
M-950 Combat Support Drone Often referred to by Forerunners as a "Spark," the Combat Support Drone (C.S.D) is an automated drone capable of support and protection in combat. It usually sits at the lower back of the Aegis that will flutter to life when activated by its user. |
K-15 Hardlight Shield: The Hardlight Shield is a Forerunner-preferred shielding system. It is an apparatus equipped to your vambrace that when activated, creates a holographic Hardlight tower shield. Like other examples of Hardlight technology, it works by using a photon emitter to fuse Light into a dissipative barrier. Forerunner Knights are known to angle their shield to return an opponent's shot (everything from projectiles to even ammunition) back towards the opponent. This requires an extreme amount of prowess and years of training with the Hardlight shield, as it must be activated at exactly the right time and angle. |
Shiv The shiv knife was used either as an offensive weapon that could be hammered into an opponent's defenses or as a utility device. The weapon buzzed, thrummed, and glowed ember-hot when ignited and, when tasked to cut, could be used as a crude surgical implement capable of cutting into an animal's innards. They were also capable of punching through the plastoid armor of an Aegis. Such weapons were often kept hidden in sheathes or scabbards on the regalia of an Annunaki. |
Grapplehook: The Annunaki grappleshot is not like most of its archaic predecessors. To the Annunaki, the old frame of the grapplehook is antiquated. This version relies on a magnet-impulse projector and a Hardlight line. It's capable of attaching itself to ultradense armor plating or energy shielded surfaces. |
Repulsor and Attractor |
Open Hand: The Open Hand, sometimes called "the Scattershot" as dubbed by Forerunner infantrymen is a Reclaimer apparatus that has taken many Forerunner lives. It functions as a shotgun that has been integrated into the hand of the user, which granted it the epithet "the Open Hand." It is a chip integrated weapon hardwired into the palm of the glove that, when activated, fires multiple individual projectiles that possess a strong homing behavior. It will disintegrate its targets if enough of these projectiles hit them at the same time. This piece of equipment can be 'charged', causing four flaps to extend from the vambrace to vent out the excess heat. The flaps glow brighter as the weapon generates energy for its burst function, which releases a highly powerful orange beam that will almost always neutralize a target with a single round at a further distance. |
Type-9Z Anti-Light Cannon: More of a handheld weapon than a piece of equipment, the Reclaimer Assembly Corporation has integrated their most loathsome Ashwave into an apparatus usually attached to the pauldron of their Servants. The A.L.C fires single antimatter-infused stream of concentrated explosive particles, which gathers into a globular projectile that oscillates along a straight trajectory to disintegrate whatever is on the other end. |

Overshield: A strong preference for Reclaimer berserkers, the Overshield provides the user with a temporary boost to their energy shields for 10 seconds. It operates by making a hyper-excited electron layer to the point where it is nearly solid, which causes objects to instantly stop or reverse the trajectory of anything that comes in contact with it. This means that while you're not technically invincible, you're virtually immune to all projectiles and explosives for 10 seconds. It is a one-time use circular module that you attach to your chest, which thereafter castes you in a hairline golden aura. Once the time has elapsed, the module will emit a cool steam to signal its release. |
Bubbleshield A Forerunner product, the Bubbleshield has been around since the Age of Starlight as a personal defense device. The Reclaimer have only made reverse-engineered, crude copies based on captured Forerunner prototypes. The shield is either enabled by a small device attached to the user's back, or by tossing its holding device onto the ground where it will self-activate upon collision. These bubble shields project a translucent, slightly white/gold tinted protective dome around the user. The shield itself is shaped like a geodesic dome made of tessellating hexagons. The shield protects against bullets, explosions, lasers, plasma, flames and other projectiles. The generator device is very delicate, and if shot from the inside, will quickly explode and dismantle the bubble. |
Active Camouflage: Another Reclaimer favorite, their camouflage technology uses a field of energy to bend light around the user to render them invisible. Upon activating the module, the energy within envelops the wearer to render them entirely invisible. After a short time, the energy will gradually dissipate and wear off to reveal its user. |
Decoy Package: The Decoy package is a piece of Garnet Hand manufactured equipment, a favored tool in the hands of assassins. It was reverse-engineered and given to 10th Front personnel and is now utilized by members of Goro's Garrison. This emulator creates a copy of the user and can be commanded to move to locations chosen by the user with the main purpose to deceive enemies. The hologram will flicker away if it is damaged enough. Create a virtual doppelganger to lure your unsuspecting opponents out into the open, or to draw away enemy fire. |

This thing is just a table leg with machetes bolted to it. Who the hell makes a weapon like that? Did those guys actually get up into space on their own? Nail Grenade: Sometimes referred to as "table legs," the Nail Grenade is a Wrathborne-grade piece of equipment. This grenade is the shape of a baton with numerous razor-like quills that can grip onto any surface including rock, glass and even energy shielding. After collision, the grenade will then detonate, sending a cluster of super-heated metal spikes flying at a perpendicular trajectory to the surface the grenade has stuck to. These spikes will ricochet off of hard surfaces, making the grenade a deadly weapon against enemies in confined spaces. Even being just hit by a thrown spike grenade can cause grave injuries, akin to being "run through by a baseball bat with nails sticking out of it." The device will always blow on impact before it can be extracted from the body. |
Splinternade: For area-denial purposes, this grenade is used by Forerunner Knights. When not in use, the splinternade is a box-like device with red-orange highlights. Once this grenade detonates, the splinternade splits and forms into an ionized lattice-cloud of floating orange sparks. When someone comes into contact with this field, all the sparks will detonate and disintegrate the victims. This ionized cloud additionally creates an electromagnetic pulse that shuts down most Hardlight tech. |
Power Drain: A combat support device used mainly by Corsair marauders, they used this device to gain an edge over energy-shielded combatants. It creates a short-range electromagnetic pulse effect, which could interfere with all electronic equipment within the radius of the pulse. It was primarily designed to interfere with common varieties of energy shielding, such as the Aegis. The electricity the grenade produces can also cause significant harm to unshielded biological targets. |
Flare: Another favorite of the Corsair League, flares are visually identical to the Power Drain. It functions in a manner similar to a stun grenade, blinding enemies by emitting an extremely bright flash of light that lasts several seconds before dimming. Personnel who are within close range of the flare are completely blinded regardless of whether their vision is directed elsewhere. |
Sunblade: Sunblades are elite weaponry sourced from Amonkhet. They are molded by master Light artisans and blacksmiths and infused with Thoth's glyphs. Sunblades are rare and few in between, usually a brand of royalty or leadership. Their impossible price and rarity are a testament to their destructive power and capability. Sunblades concentrate Solar Light with minor modifications in the form of a sizzling, golden energy-blade. |
Hardlight Bola: A revolutionized version of an ancient throwing weapon, primitively created using two stone balls attached to a long, slender rope, whirled like a sling, then thrown parallel to the ground to entwine the legs of cattle. It has since been repurposed into a technologically advanced throwing weapon made of two weights on the end of an interconnected Hardlight cord, designed to apprehend targets by constricting their legs. |

- Khal-Workshop Impaler: An anti-Aegis design employed by Khalsmiths, this weapon launches a "rocket-sized" spike capable of piercing through just about any material, even from a far range. It operates through a gravitic emitter that launches the spike round.
