REDRICK "ROWDY" RAHN
In search of greater knowledge and on the hunt for the people who stole his Light, Redrick Rahn is the self-proclaimed greatest thief in the universe.
biographyRedrick "Rowdy" Rahn was born on the desert planet Amonkhet, where he spent most of his days picking fights and partaking in illegal acts, such as both smoking and selling Dream Moss. His mother, Teri Rahn, would encourage him to stop his illicit activities and search for true meaning . . . Redrick would spend many late nights arguing with his mother, though he loved her more than anything in the world. She nicknamed him "Rowdy," which Redrick's friends picked up on, eventually becoming his actual name to anyone who met him.
Redrick always admired the Corsair way of life and wanted to become part of them. The young gambler boy always felt like he had something to prove if he wanted to one day join the Corsair League, but unfortunately, he was many lightyears away from New Corsair. Determined, Redrick continued to strive for what he wanted. Redrick would spend the next five years of his early teenage years smuggling, thieving, stealing and scamming to scrape every last unit he could. He would come to steal artifacts, weapons, Dream Moss and many other illicit goods. These items he would steal would have to be resold through a black market, so Redrick would often spend time at clubs and inns across Amonkhet, waiting for Corsair pirates to interact with. Redrick was always known to push his ambitions a bit too far, and one day when he was on the precipice of stealing a deal that could get him a first-class ticket to New Corsair, he was caught. A longtime member of the Corsair League would frame Redrick, exploiting his many crimes to the local authorities--which was seen as being an infraction of the Corsair code to "snitch." Redrick could not be held down by any regular prison--he escaped from the first three they attempted to keep him in, one of the times when his mother gave him a Malamite Half-coin that had been in the Rahn family for generations. She did so because it always kept her out of trouble, and hoped it would be the same for her son. When Redrick proved himself unable to be confined by normal correctional centers, the Amonkhetian government reached out to the 10th Front and notified them of their predicament. He was whisked through space, surveyed and prodded and stripped of his ability to channel Light, then shipped off to Wardu'um--a prison planet whose entire basis was to place convicts in the wild to survive. Somewhere in the timeframe between being transported from Amonkhet to Wardu'um, Redrick would make an impression upon a high-ranking 10th Planet female officer named Nayo. He would give her his Malamite Half-coin, promising to see her again. On Wardu'um, Redrick Rahn would develop a hatred towards cyborgs, androids and robots. Whenever Redrick made friends on Wardu'um or parlayed an alliance with neighboring factions, cyborgs that served as correctional officers would split them up. Redrick came to realize that the entire planet was being monitored by some overseer, and that he was always being watched. He developed a knack for camouflage and hiding during this time . . . many of the alien convicts on Wardu'um were much stronger, faster and biologically more fit to survive in harsh environments than him. He used his mind as a tactical edge against other felons, and eventually became renowned throughout the planet.
After three long years in Wardu'um confinement, a squadron of androids would come to abduct Redrick in the night. When he awoke, he was in the Flamevault--the main and solitary headquarters in Wardu'um, where prisoners were evaluated and sent off into the wilds. There he was notified that he'd been bailed out by a woman named Nayo, with a small envelope that carried the coin his mother had given to him as a child. Once he was freed, Redrick went right back to his normal regiment, only this time . . . he was a mature adult. With his newfound cunning and battle hardened skills, Redrick was ready to commit all sorts of blasphemy across the galaxy. His first location was New Corsair, where he met with several Corsair League bounty hunters, including the self-appointed leader of the League, Azagoth Needlebone. Azagoth came to enjoy Redrick's dry wit and sarcastic humor, granting him a spot in the League as long as he promised to follow League customs.
personality & traitsKnown for his cockiness, rudeness, dry wit and his fast draw, Redrick Rahn is a Moss-Flipper with an affinity for scamming, gambling and everything criminal. He boasts about all of his achievements and about his own felonies, seemingly proud of his wanted status on multiple quadrants and by many bounty hunters. Redrick Rahn is not a Lightbearer, but he's still far from helpless. He's inventive and often unorthodox with his solutions to problems on the fly, which can often be a source of frustration to his enemies. Because of the Malamite Half-Coin given to him by his mother, an ancient form of currency to the Malamites of Mala-Ged, Redrick seems to possess some form of innate luck at all times. Redrick Rahn is known to have a particular dislike for all borgs, droids and non-sentient things. In addition to speaking his native Firstspeech, he also fluently speaks and understands many other languages such as Malamite Scrit, Merspeak, Tan'nari Dialect and a few other unnamed languages. He has a very particular accent unique to Amonkhetians.

Darrien's Spear: Annunaki tech, Darrien's Spear is a special variant of the B-192 Directed Cannon Engagement Weapon. The appearance of highly mobile and mutable Lichen organisms quickly led to 10th Front countermeasures. Redrick came upon this weapon when he claimed it from the Hal-Tek personal vaults, stealing it for himself. It features three unique things that make it viable in all forms of combat.
- Beneath the muzzle of the sniper, the gun ends in a retracting Hardlight bayonet that can be used for stabbing and lancing purposes, earning it the moniker "Darrien's Spear."
- Darrien's Spear has a specially-calibrated visual scope that can record and play back images.
- Has a stun setting, which feeds power through an emitter throughout the entire shaft of the sniper to create a ring-shaped electromagnetic burst that can disrupt a target's nervous system render them unconscious.
- The blaster bolt's released by Darrien's Spear carry absolutely no heat. On impact, their displacement of matter produces kinetic energy that causes heat, which causes materials to deform and fuse, while liquids inside organic bodies instantly change state to steam, expanding and doing terrible damage to surrounding tissue.
