"Our long deathless winter has left us numb. Our wasted animal within, ugly and gaunt, hibernates beneath our shimmering beauty. Why do these men stir us so? They burn with our lost desires, lost instincts. Annunaki tamed, but only just. Cast and hunted as game. Trapped and tortured, yet they remain... animals.
Less than their human seed, gnawing their limbs from the snare, devouring a banquet of suffering, obese with heat and acid... and rage.
That is why they will destroy us."

MARS

|
Summary:
Feared by his enemies, reviled by his father and worshiped by warriors, Mars, a tortured and lonely soul, is the bloodthirsty Saint of War. He is not loved by the people, representing everything they fear: war, strife and chaos. Mars is loved only by the Reclaimers, who revered the God for his masculinity, his merciless warrior spirit, and tenacity against all odds. Mars was known to be selfish in his intentions, uncaring for the likes of others and demanding everything to be his way. His powers were only bestowed upon the most worthy, which made him very demanding and oppressive of the weak. He is merciless and wrathful, a chaotic being. It is said that Mars stated that he himself could defeat anything in existence, and not many chose to deny this. In the beginning, as En-il created the galaxy as we know it, Mars was the "editor." Anything he did not like, he would reduce to ashes with something Nibiru had yet to see: fire. His elements aided him in fighting and many believe that he would have beat Adonai even though it is said Adonai is stronger. Those that worship Mars understand that in his most powerful state, Mars manipulates the victories and losses of wars and thus can never lose. Mars built a growing collection of halls and spires that cracked the desert horizon of Nibiru. Each one was its own jagged landscape, a place of worship and battle. Eveyr day, Annunaki would witness the Isu's latest creations and each night they would cheer as he brought them down. As this cycle became commonplace, the only fanfare came at their destruction. After his hands tired, the greatest ovation followed his demise. |
"Ashes to ashes, dust to dust."

New Moon (25%)
This is Mars, the tormented, the enraged. He is a berserker Isu, driven by feral rage, his attacks rend his prey with fury and ferociousness while his tormented cries break the imposing silence of the Annunaki presence. A great gust of power swirls up around you, overflowing, your fighting spirit roaring up as you beast your chest with your fist. The sound of an entire legion banging their swords against their shields can be heard throughout the realm as Ares' presence overrides your nervous system, your senses suddenly expanding tenfold. Finally, your nerves burn out and your energy flares, a feeling of dread gnawing ravenously at your opponents guts. An irrational hunch informs them that something terrible, ungodly and dangerous is coming.
You become surrounded by pure red brambles and vines that seem to writhe through the infrastructure of the earth, your own eyes and veins glowing with the same phosphorescent red, pure and untamed rage in energy form. The veins are most prominent around your eyes where they seethe like magma, but the most important change is the new weapon you wield; a bident known as Angra Mainyu, a relic known to be mastered by Mars. Physically, Angra Mainyu resembles a long, red bident on an Isu's scale. Its structure is inherently double-helical (in its normal configuration), with the majority of its length being straight and composed of two strands which are tightly interwoven. At one end, the two strands unwind and form two massive tines. While the bident is the spear's default shape, it also has metamorphic capabilities. When thrown, the tines wrap together to form a seamless piercing object. Upon encountering a strong enough defense, the "flaps" of the spear can open up, revealing white, gill-like structures that seem to aid the weapon with self-propulsion under conditions of extreme resistance.
It can be wreathed in tangible, physical wrath, which takes the form of a blazing, fiery energy, but drizzles black as if over saturated. Its raw presence causes seas to rise, mountains to become volcanoes, clear days to become hurricanes, and much more. This is just its presence, not its actual use. What the spear can do is be used as a catalyst to "inject" wrath, such as in elements or energies. Storing wrath into elements will change their appearance to be much more chaotic, allowing them to survive in scenarios where they usually would be countered. They lose their weaknesses and counterparts, for example, fire being able to thrive in the cold dead of space, and lightning being able to be cast from a clear sky. They are more erratic and spontaneous, tearing and ripping through bulwarks as opposed to slowly burning or slowly crushing.
The aforementioned red brambles are a plant native to Nibiru, found deep underground and avoided like the black plague by its denizens. They represent misfortune and have gained this reputation by the nomads of yore, whenever coming across the rare root by happenstance, they would carry around an aura of bad luck. They referred to this as being "jinxed." The sinuous root is also known as Laraak "The Bright Glow" referring to the bloody aura given off. These brambles have an impossibly long reach, a means of inflicting pain when it must, but its more frequent function is as a snare to pull the reluctant opponents toward Mars. Those that are touched by the thorns on the brambles and are effectively cut by them, they're induced with a feeling of ecstasy like they're entirely safe, a reaction of the paralyzing agent. They become immobilized completely, causing them to be left without movement and sensation. Their motor functions and muscle movements become unavailable, leaving them to rely entirely on their energetic prowess to escape the endless onslaught. This is called narcosis. They're perfectly capable of acting sentiently, reacting to when the user is in immediate danger by rushing to their aid.
Godless Mangrove: By manipulating the brambles to grow on any surface, you create a massive grove anywhere you choose. A small bramble itself can grow into a massive network of interwoven brambles that reach the sky in an instant. With its tremendous speed and durability, the brambles can pierce through any wall, reaching their prey in an instant. This is the technique casted upon activation of the New Moon phase, but can be invoked again if the original cluster is destroyed. This is the beginning of a three-part technique.
-Godless Mangove, Inhale: The vines open their pores and begin to siphon in the immediate atmosphere, a "sucking" or "absorbing" noise resounding through the thick forestry as this happens. The air can be seen rippling inward as the vines safely absorb any air, or energy, from the environment, breaking down the esoteric qualities of the energy that they absorb into the millions of cells of its genetic makeup.
-Godless Mangrove, Exhale: Release the vaulted energy within the plant in the form of a billowing toxin, the green gas flowing as fast as methane. Should someone see the gas, they might notice something is a bit "off" about it because it excites molecules in the air to produce a nuclear green glow. The gas is dense enough that it can be absorbed into one's body directly through their unbroken skin and also has a high vapor pressure, so even if it's untouched, it can be absorbed through inhalation. This causes an immediate shutdown in the pathways of one's body, not only their blood flow, but their ability to "flow" energy through the pathways of their body and thus can no longer secrete it or mold it to cast.
Ina Tahazi (To Battle): A last resort technique which doesn't require any energy, using your own cells as a medium, you sacrifice the right side of your body by creating an entire swarm of the brambles. This holds your body together like the stitches of a rag-doll, allowing you to separate your body parts at will, perform mid to long-range physical attacks, and sew up almost any injury you suffer. The brambles could also be used to repair the bodies of others. Because of this unique body structure, you become highly enduring, able to take direct strikes from sharp attacks without hindering your performance.

Waxing Gibbous (50%)
Suddenly, your nostrils deliberately let loose puffs of smoke and your rage builds with every hot breath. It's time. You roar, an incandescent rush of rage that transmutes into scalding flame, slamming the ground with Angra Mainyu to create a wave of plasma that incinerates away all it touches in an omnidirectional wave around you. This creates a persistent ring of fire the size of an acre around you, and in this hellscape, not even a single insect can crawl along its blighted surface except for ONE thing--the Laraak. Because of this, the only organic matter that exists within the range of this glyph should be the red brambles which were already previously under your control. It is safe to say that if the vines are able to exist within this nuclear zone, |
they're entirely flame retardant. The very corners of the fire, seared into the ground like a glyph, peel upward in the shape of massive tendrils. These tendrils will beckon to the call of Angra Mainyu - if you swing it to the right, all the tendrils will swing to the right. This field becomes bound to your body so that whenever you move, it moves with you. The only safe spot on the surface of the glyph is the very center, the "eye of the storm," so to speak, which is only large enough to occupy two people.
-Activation Option #2: This ability can only toggle if you are in the sky. Activating the second stage of Mars while you're in the sky has a different effect than if you were on the ground, where instead of the glyph scorching into the earth around you, it surrounds your body in a fiery nimbus. The bound field becomes wrapped around your body like a cloak, flames hot enough to melt stone condensed into an aura while a powerful bubble of pressure forces it to maintain its shape around you. As you come nosediving back down to the island, the cloak surrounding your body spreads out into two massive phoenix wings--like a yawn that was decades overdue. You set the sky ablaze behind you and become a streaking comet across the sky, one that is bright enough that it can light up an entire hemisphere of the globe during nightfall. As you strike the island, the currents of heat burrow underneath solid rock and reach to the lower layers of crust that lay dormant in the earth. At this point, the bound field now surrounds you as it would if you were on land. The difference here is that pockets of magma will erupt into the sky all across the land from one horizon to the next, and spawn several more bound fields. This will appear (from space) like hundreds of red dots against green pastures of land.

Last Quarter (75%)
Full Moon (100%)
The only Isu capable of deicide (slaughtering other Isu/Emanations), with which is delivered with a crushing blow that strips away the promise of everlasting life. If he were to land a strong enough attack on any opponent, it can induce a form of "deicide," onto them, where their connection with a higher power is entirely and completely repealed. Also, this weapon were to land upon an Isu or Emanation, it can induce an ultimate deicide onto them from whence they will experience "death," stripping them of their immortality.
Angra Mainyu from this point forward has fissures that chip throughout it, like a window that has been struck, and from within these cracks emit the radiance of a volcano heart. If it is your desire, you may summon to life one of Mars' loyal companions, a hellfire stallion named Ura-Dagrim whose clamping hooves can be heard throughout the war zone as it rides through the thickest of battles. Your hair is now flame, your eyes are hot coals, your armor is the molten crust of the mantle.
In this stage, the nature of the Laraak changes. These hallucinatory brambles that were once a focal part of your previous stages no longer appear as prickly vines to your opponent, but as rusted-shut chains. In truth, they are disguising their true nature--they're still Laraak and carry the same hallucinogenic affect--but mysteriously have changed their presentation upon entering the Full Moon phase. You no longer need to use motions or gestures in order to manipulate these tarnished chains as they will relentlessly pursue your opponent with the most superficial flick of your mind.
Ura Dagrim: Your hellfire stallion who once proved to be a loyal companion to Mars during his galactic conquests. His mane is black flame, his eyes are flaming sockets, his muscles sinewy and taut. When he charges, he leaves behind him a trail of ash and soot. Should you mount him, you'll find yourself playing out the role of a jouster; but don't be fooled, this isn't for sport.
Fog of War: A deep, impenetrable fog that seems to rise from the ground. Grey smoke, acrid and noxious, yet somehow weightless, completely and utterly impenetrable to the most proficient of ocular abilities. If your opponent is in the presence of this fog--not even breathing it in--they will suddenly feel the intense sensation of immeasurable panic. Their hearts will thunder in their chests, their throats will tighten, etc. In this Fog of War, only you can see through.
No Quarter: The most relentless and savage attack that can be caste upon a foe. No quarter is an idiom originally applied to military situations, wherein a victor was not willing to take care of prisoners by giving them cells; therefore, he would give "no quarter." It is an act of showing absolutely no mercy to an opponent, nor clemency. To use this ability is to completely and utterly disregard any respect you may have left for your opponent, for this technique is as if treating them the same as a speck of dust beneath your boot. Draw your volcanic spear to the skies, and shoot a beam of hellish energy into the clouds. From there, the clouds will begin to swarm around that beam like a tornado born of ash, the howling screams of souls slain by your hand soaring in and out of that tempest. All at once, a million copies of Angra Mainyu will rain hell upon the world like a never-ending shotgun blast straight from hell. Considering the tornado is spawning these spears, they will scatter to and fro across the landscape, turning a (example) meadow of grass into a bristling field of spears within a matter of moments. This technique contains minor properties of fate manipulation, as the storm cannot be rid of until your opponent has been completely and utterly stripped of their life. This is no exaggeration; the onslaught will truly never stop until your opponent has met their demise.
