I have traveled the wefts of nonbeing to fight many foes
I have carried the burden of my ilk, though it brings many woes
In the leylines and veins of this world do I encounter my fate
The skeins of my destiny is what I do hate.
Summary:
This is Haia, master of the Rift. In a land of both shadow and substance, Haia is both nowhere and everywhere. Tapping into the Rift, Haia demonstrates his art of dimensional travel that disrupts the space-time continuum, blurring the borders between realms and reality. Many fear change and venturing into the unknown, deviating from a path of safety and certainty into something unexpected. Haia recognizes and governs this as a change; a journey through doorways both physical and emotional, with every moment a passage to something new. Bearing no eyes, Haia is ever looking to the future and the past, knowing both but controlling neither. He is only the in-between, found in the changing of seasons, at the birth of a child, at the entrance to the temple and the tavern. Bearing two different faces, Haia is ever looking to the future and to the past, and for this the Elysians named the first month after him: January, a portal between the old year and the new. The spells Haia performed were an object of fascination for both Annunaki and Isu alike. He brought them the gift of tamed magic. Despite the widespread appreciation for the fruits of this work, few volunteered to assist. Haia was known not only for the power he commanded, but also his lack of respect for it. His fall during the Hour Devastation was the first to prove that Isu were not complete in their wisdom or their immortality. |
"I am the key and the lock, what is secret is now known."
Lunar Eclipse (∞ )
Haia is a very unique Isu in the sense that he doesn't have the atypical four stages like the rest of his Isu brethren do, rather he has a single phase that counts as his full kit, and it is referred to as the "Lunar Eclipse" phase. He relies on crowd control as opposed to outward collateral damage. Haia is a tricky Isu to use and even more time needs to be put into mastering his abilities, as overusing them could make you a redundant fighter and being too linear with his abilities will make you predictable. In essence, Haia's domain is over portals, the seasons of planets and the fabric of time. Weaving these three aspects into a single Isu makes him a very strong, yet intricate source of power with whom only the Annunaki catalyst can bring out the full potential. Use this Isu with caution, abilities regarding time and space are often frowned upon in the combat world spanning across multiple galaxies as being "cheap," or "unfair."
Activating Haia's invocation grants you the ability to summon his mystical stave, also known as the Athlon Varazdat. It is a long staff befitting a god of Haia's stature, and the very top of it has the harmless appearance of two battery reactors. The staff itself is a royal blue decorated with inlaid gold on the butt end and underneath the head of the staff itself. This staff is used as the catalyst for most of the abilities that Haia uses. Upon activating this Isu, not only will you receive Athlon Varazdat, but you will also receive a prismatic, reflective orb that hovers behind you. Autonomously or at the champions will, the orb will automatically change form, size, and its ratio of energy to reflect any attack directed at the user. By inducing a mirror tunnel into the mirror, the user is able to multiply anything reflected within it. Alternatively, the user able to generate natural reflects in the mirror alter to their personal perspective. If the target looks at the mirror, the altered perspective will become reality. Optionally, the user is able to infuse their own abilities into anything reflected within the mirror, allowing them to alter anything they replicate at will. Finally, the mirror itself can be used to seal reflected objects and techniques into itself. Seal objects and techniques will be imprinted within the mirror and can be replicated at the user's will.
Pontem Caelesti (Heavenly Floating Bridge): This technique was first activated involuntarily to send Haia back in time during the Hour of Devastation event. Somehow after this first mysterious use, Haia and his champion(s) were able to retain this ability. This technique takes the form of a temporal vortex that swallows the champion, or his/her target and sends them both back or forward in time for a total of ten minutes top (or until Haia notices his champion has performed this task, at it is forbidden to toy with the wefts of the future/past) before they're yanked back. Furthermore, the user does not have control over whether it is a forward or backward jump in time, nor is the user able to gauge how far back or how far forward he/she moves in the timeline, making this technique very risk-versus-reward. The more practical use of this ability is to send objects of your choosing both forward or backwards through time -- a feat which the user IS capable of controlling.
Graviton Rain: Gird Athlon Varazdat to the sky and summon a cluster of clouds out of thin air over any trajectory within your peripheral view. The clouds will release a spectral, purple rain that contain Isu Energy within them. They are much like liquid in the sense that they do carry a level of moisture and can apply the sense of "wet." Any object that is touched by a raindrop will be teleported away, which becomes dangerously effective when you take into consideration that the rain can barrage the same defense, peeling it and "teleporting," it away layer by layer.
Gird Athlon Varazdat into the air and creating a "gravity lens" in the world in front of you. Any object that attempts to fly past this wall will come to a sudden halt like a wave stuck in time, flowing against the invisible wall.
Haia creates a portal in the world. If placed on a wall, the portal will create a passage through to the other side of the wall that Haia or any ally may use. The portal may be entered from either side, but closes after one use.
Caerulea Parma ("Azure Moon Transition"): is a Warp related ability usable through Athlon Varazdat. Stated as being the most versatile of his bedazzling techniques. Channeling the principles of the Warp through the battery cores of one's staff, the user is able to create Warp portal array points that link together like "windows." Users have shown the ability to create several portals at a time as well as decide what transfers through each one. In addition to this, you're able to control the size of the portals.
Exitium Circumscriptio ("Destruction of Boundaries"): is a unique and ancient Warp technique which is stated as being one of the first of its kind. Using this technique, the champion is able to sever the connection between two or more points in space-time. Like most of Haia's techniques, this is done by touching space-time itself with Athlon Varazdat and rending it at the intended location. Once done, the location becomes inaccessible to others, including other space-time techniques. This will appear as a sort of "shattered," mirror in the atmosphere wherever the two inaccessible locations lie.
