ELYSIUM
Elysium or the Elysian Fields is a conception of the afterlife, standing opposite to Erebus. Admission was reserved for mortals related to the gods and other heroes. Later, it expanded to include those chosen by the gods, the righteous and the heroic, where they would remain after death to live a happy and blessed life, indulging in whatever employment that they'd enjoyed in life. It is also the night sky of Nibiru, a paranormal realm associated with dreams and subconscious, a literal and proverbial night sky where the Isu dwell. Tales of the universe can be seen played out in the constellations of the sky on Nibiru.
Known Locations:
-Primeval Waters: A pocket dimension that has a gate only accessible in Elysium that leads to the sleeping place of the Creator. The landscape is a silvery sheet of water as flat and reflective as a mirror extending to the horizon on all sides. Here and there rocky islands like spires rise from the endless sea, each creating a perfect resting place on which to meditate. Deep underneath the water is the shimmering image of the Creator who's so large that his body stretches onward never-endingly into the infinite waters that surround him.
-Elysian Fields: Known as the city of the gods and founded by En-il, the Fields are the home of the gods who dwelt in fabulous palaces of marble and gold. It sits at the top of a mountain, and both the cliff face and its own walls separate it from the outside world. Long ago, invitations were given to great champions among humans, decided through victories in an arena, but this practice has not been kept up for some time. It is an abode of perfect blessedness. No wind ever shakes the untroubled peace of Elysia; no rain ever falls there or snow, but the cloudless firmament stretches around it on all sides and the white glory of sunshine is diffused upon its walls.
