The immortal liege whose sceptered empire is eternity, sits enthroned and brooding over his dark realm once more.
personality & traits
Angarak was deeply religious, often quoting religious scripts. He believed that it was belief that made a warrior and not skill. Because of his unshakable faith in the Emanation, he was honored and respected by all high-ranking officials in the Separatist Legion.
Angarak uses fear to terrorize foes with their own darkest, most closely guarded nightmares. Angarak delights in having the upper hand and watching enemies reduced to quaking cowards. Angarak now travels the Multiverse in search of designs for the perfect embodiment of fear. In this search, Angarak came to Arda, where dreams seem more vibrant than the other planes he has visited.
Look at them, they come to this place when they know they are not pure. Isu use the keys, but they are mere trespassers. Only I, Angarak, know the true power of the Eternities. I was cut in half, destroyed, but through its Janus Key, the Void called to me. It brought me here and here I was reborn. We cannot blame these creatures, they are being led by a false prophet, an impostor who knows not the secrets of the Eternities. Behold the Prometheans, come to scavenge and desecrate this sacred realm. My brothers, did I not tell of this day? Did I not prophesize this moment? Now, I will stop them. Now I am changed, reborn through the energy of the Emanation. Forever bound to the Eternities. Let it be known, if the Annunaki want true salvation, they will lay down their arms, and wait for the baptism of my Janus key. It is time. I will teach these trespassers the redemptive power of my Janus key. They will learn it's simple truth. The Annunaki are lost, and they will resist. But I, Angarak, will cleanse this place of their impurity.
If your god cannot humbled themselves before you, they cannot expect you to humble yourself before them.
-King Crux Element, Phantom): Phantom uses fear to terrorize foes with their own darkest, most closely guarded nightmares with the smoke and screams that waft from the cold corners of dream. This gives the user the upper hand and reduces enemies reduced to quaking cowards. Because all sentient beings feel fear, some believe this power is the great equalizer. For Angarak, fear is a feeling given form by the mind—a quasi-elemental force that can be shaped and wielded to his benefit. Once mastered, it was discovered that in addition to culling the nightmares of others, Phantom could also make their fears manifest in reality. As such, Angarak embodies the role of a dark engineer, constructing twisted architectures of torment and sorrow. The dread vapors that emanate from Phantom is an extension of this magic, enabling easy access and manipulation of the fears of those he enshrouds. This power is to reach into the beliefs of others and find the fears that dwell inside. Where there is belief, there is doubt, and where there is doubt, there is the nightmare. And the world is full of believers. With this power, Angarak can summon beings born of nightmares, call them into reality, give them form. They become Angarak's minions, eager to please their master, freed from the dreams of the believer. Furthermore, a cunning artist of dreams, Angarak used his mystical influence over unconscious thought to conjure aesthetically pleasing nightmares. His most thrilling achievement was to alter the dreams of Adonai Lunaros, conjuring a kind of ephemeral dream-deity. This feat was made possible thanks to a favor from the Isu, Nergal, allowing Anagarak to remain hidden from En'il's divine view.
-Aegis: His helm and gorget were wrought in the shape of a man’s face and shoulders, skinless and bloody, mouth open in a silent howl of anguish. From his shoulders streamed a pink woollen cloak embroidered with droplets of blood.
